Artistic Finishes
The following finishing technique combinations and handcrafted artistry on Elm's cabinetry create an heirloom furniture quality on the outside in conjunction with contemporary features inside.
Kensington

We begin with the hand-wiped stain under a painted color of your choice. Glaze applied with a brushstroke technique heightens
the antique artistry. After the finish cures, corners are worn away and sanded to reveal the stained undercoat, resulting in a striking, time-worn
appearance.

| Heritage

The Heritage combination is a painted finish with hand-wiped glazing. The finish is lightly sanded, exposing the natural wood beneath for an heirloom look. A low sheen topcoat is the final protective step. |
| Full Distressing

Full Distressing, a combination of dents, worm holes and splits, may be the perfect combination to convey a vintage appearance. |
Essex House

Our Essex House combination enhances the beauty of Heritage's painted, glazed and sanded look by adding splits, dents and worm holes. Again, low sheen protects the entire finish. |
Antique

The Antique finish combines either a transparent or opaque stain and glaze with worm holes, splits and dents to give the cabinetry a well-used, rich patina. |
